New Blog Location

August 1, 2006

If you stumbled across this website, congratulations!  Actually, this site was a test to see how easy it was to; a) import an existing blog from Blogger/Blogspot and b) test the interface, speed and functionality of WordPress.

I can honestly say that WordPres is a slam dunk. So I moved the blog over here:

Enjoy!

Daily Dilbert RSS Feed

April 18, 2006

As a fellow Geek, I'm sure you know that you can subscribe to the Daily Dilbert via e-mail, right? And let's face it, we all need a daily dose of humor to put up with all the PEBCAK.

But, did you know you can get the daily Dilbert comic strip via an (unofficial) RSS feed too? No spam filters, just the daily cartoon straight to you.

Keep in mind, this feed is different than The Dilbert Blog by Scott Adams – which is on Official blog and pretty hilarious too if you like smart alec humor.

(BTW – I've got a Daily Dilbert SharePoint webpart too if anyone is interested. It's great for getting network users to start using http://companyweb) .

Two Blogs Enter, One Blog Leaves

April 18, 2006

I've decided to move my blog and to rename it (gasp).

Shed a tear and say goodbye to '"Blog" is a Four-Letter Word'. This may come as a shock (or not) to all 7 or 8 people who read this blog, but I'm making the move off the Blogger.com servers over to a real domain.

Effective immediately, the new blog address will be www.NoGeekLeftBehind.com.

I'll still leave http://timothybarrett.blogspot.com online so the old links don't break. But all content from the old blog has already been ported over to the new site. The look and feel of the new site is virtually identical to the old one, so you should feel right at home. I'm still using the Blogger engine on the back-end because I'm a procrastinator and a slacker.

Also, the new webhost is Vlad's company, OwnWebNow. In case you didn't know it, OwnWebNow TOTALLY spanks the llama!

So, as I move into my new digital home, I hope you'll update your bookmarks, MSN Alerts & RSS feeds, etc., and come over to say 'hi'. And if not, in the immortal words of FattCatt (Jason) from the band King Sonic, "Ihopeyouchoke"!

Tired of paying your hard-earned dollars to Dell, HP, CDW, BestBuy or the Geek Squad for your SBS server hardware. Look out because there's a new sherriff in town. Now my favorite online gadget retailer Newegg aims squarely at the SMB market with their first-ever (as far as I know) webcast on building a SBS rig:

Download – Microsoft Dynamics CRM 3.0 Mobile

April 13, 2006

The Microsoft CRM Mobile Client provides salespeople with up-to-date information about their accounts and contacts, and it helps them manage sales opportunities and track sales-related activities. It takes out the trash and folds the laundry too (just kidding).

Salespeople select the data to take with them on the road. While disconnected, they can enter data whenever they want. Later they can sync the data via the office network, or from the road via wireless access through GPRS.
